Intraarticular morphin vs. triamcinolone vs. Placebo in patients with knee arthritis

Main inclusion criteria:

  • Significant knee joint effusion, detected by ultrasonography or clinically, associated with spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, undifferentiated mono- or olygoarthritis, or knee osteoarhtritis
  • Knee pain> = 40 mm (VAS 0-100)

Study goal

Examine whether intraarticular morphine (3 mg) injections provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, compared to intraarticular triamcinolone 40 mg and placebo. Randomization 2: 2: 1
