The Department of Rheumatology, Campus Benjamin Franklin diagnoses and cares for patients with all spectrum of rheumatic diseases. As a tertiaty center, we usually care for patients being referred because of typical manifestations of rheumatic diseases (such as swollen joints, back pain) as well as for patients with complicated cases of rheumatic diseases.

Spondyloarthiritis and back pain
The area of interest of our department are spondylarthritides (ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, imflammatory bowel disease-associated arthritis spondyloarthritis). the main clinical feature of spondylarthritides is back pain. Therefore, we offer special appointments for patients with back pain.
